What is with the appeal of thrillers and horror stories? I loved hearing ghost stories as a child while away at camp, and staying up all night reading a suspenseful book. I’m not into gore and violence, but more so the psychological thrillers since there’s always a deeper, darker story to somehow rationalize or explain away horrific events.
This is the fourth thriller written by Riley Sager, and I’ve read all of his books! I would have to say this was my favorite. Haunted houses are always a classic tale, and I loved going to them at Knott’s Scary Farm or Disneyland. Plus, you can never truly know a person’s intentions…or can you? I’ll let you check it out yourself to see!
