I never really heard of Jimmy Yang, but I did notice him in “Crazy Rich Asians.” His story was filled with his struggles in pursuing his stand-up comedy dream, while navigating living in America as an immigrant.
Btw, I loved how he acted for Danny Meng, someone I had never heard of before, yet who was a hero during the Boston Marathon attack.
Notable quotes:
“Even though I was an American student who spoke better English than them, they still insisted I was a Chinese tourist.”
“I don’t have to be solely defined by where I came from, and I am more than just where I end up.”
